A Medical Billing and Coding Specialist is a significant contributor to the healthcare field. With a keen eye for detail, they can accurately transmit critical data into codes which allows the medical professionals to get reimbursed for their services. Our 5-month online, instructor-led entry level program will train students to properly locate and validate correct diagnostic and procedure codes using the current ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding books. In addition, students will learn how to process health insurance claims along with proper billing and collection services. Our program will prepare students to test for the accredited Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam with the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

How long is the program?The Phlebotomy Technician is 8 weeks

Where do I go to get my book?Your instructor will give you your book on the first day of class.

What do I need to bring with me on my first day of class?Bring your laptop or mobile device. We like to make sure you can access your online learning account and show you how to navigate it.

Do I have to bring a copy of my immunizations on the first day of class?No, your instructor will go over any required immunizations on the first day of class.

Do I need to wear scrubs for my first day of the course?No, please come in comfortable clothes. Your instructor will let you know when it is time to wear scrubs.

Do you offer payment plans?Yes we do. We require a minimum deposit of $200 and the remaining balance can be split into two payments. No interest or fees.

What will my class schedule be?Depending on which class your register for, you will attend class one day a week for 6-8 hours or two days a week for 3-4 hours each class. Both options are 8 weeks in length.

Do I need a High School Diploma to enroll?All students are required to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.

What if I already have a current BLS/CPR certification? Am I required to attend?No, we include BLS/CPR as part of the program. You are not required to attend.
